ok i dont know wot these type of things are called its not a story or a poem just sumthings i wrote one day, hope they are ok
~*~Dreams~*~
when we are young we are so full of hopes and dreams but as years drudge on we loose out ambitions its like a candle inside of us burning out until darkness devours us. leaving us bitter, resentful,cold, distant and envying the naive kids who still shine full of wishes and expectations
but why does this happen? why does the light cease to shine? is it because we know too much? we know that the dreams we had as a young kid are impossiable so we no longer dream. if thats the case maybe its betta not to know that or anything else that could shatter the window of our dreams, after all our dreams are important, yet so fragile and so easily destroyed. without them we have nothing to live 4, sure we have family, friends but them alone is nothing much, we need sumthing 4 ourselves, we cant live and do things just because of them, for that is a sure fire way for the light to succumb to darkness. we need to set ourselves goals, maybe not as impossiable as the ones we had when we where young but achievable ones, and after its accomplishedset another. wether they b learning a new sport, loosing weight or as simple as spending more time with your loved ones. if you do this maybe the light will shine brighter then ever and we as people could feel a lot happier.

~*~ Happiness ~*~
From young we strive to be the best wether it is to win a race or become 1st in a spelling test. we are all competing to become #1. but wot for? primary school is just preperation for high school and 1/2 of high school is preperation for VCE and in VCE we do our best so we can get a good job and when we work we do our best to keep our jobs and to get a promotion which leads to more money. so ultimately we do this for money. but wot is so good about money? sure we can buy things, but it doesnt bring true happiness. any way as the saying goes 'money is the root of all evil'
although many people will probably disagree that all our hard work is just for money, and by all means its not, its also for a brief moment of self satisfaction, other peoples envy and for the praise of family and friends but again these things dont bring forfilling happiness for they fade away to a distand memory
i do not know wot true happiness is for i have not yet experienced it, many believe it is love, being loved and loving others as well as forfillment, i really dont know, i am still a critic of wether there is such a thing as lasting happiness but if there is it will not b found in a job that u dont like or in a relationship where the people are just settling for 2nd best just for the sake of having a boyfriend/girlfriend/wife/husband/friend. people should strive for happiness and not to be the best.
